2009 Palmet Engineering has very succesful year in 2008 Delta Natural Gas Fired Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP): The construction and all necessary equipment purchasing contracts have been signed on the second quarter of 2008. Since that time, the project has progressed hastily and the facility has been connected to the Natural Gas High Pressure Pipeline Network as well as the 154 KV Turkish Electricity Grid in the previous month. The plant will be starting its commercial operation as a simple cycle power station at the beginning of February 2009 producing 48 MW of electricity. It will then go into combined cycle electricity production phase in July 2009 with a full production capacity of 62 MW. All of the Systems in the plant are constructed by Palmet emlployees. Close Control A/C Department: Palmet has signed a further contract with Turk Telekom to supply install test and commission 310 Close Control Air Conditioning Systems. The total number of air conditioners supplied to Türk Telekom by Palmet is now over 3500. The total sales of our A/C department reached to 500 systems in 2008. Besides, Palmet provides after sales services for 1000 Close Control A/C Systems. Fire Detecting & Extinguishing Systems Department: Palmet has broken its sales record in 2008 by securing the projects below. · DHMI SMART Gaseous Fire Extinguishing Systems Project (System Modernisation of Air Traffic Management Resources in Turkey - SMART). Palmet Engineering has become the designer, supplier and supervisor of their gaseous fire extinguishing systems. In total their are 140 seperate system and plant rooms that will be protected by either FM200 or CO2 Gas. The site locations are; Ankara, İstanbul, İzmir, Dalaman and Cyprus. The projects taotal scope of supply includes; 28 tons of FM200 Gas, 10 tons of CO2 Gas, 1200 Fire Detectors, 150 seperate Fire Detection and Extinguishing Panels, Fire Hose Cabinets, Sprinklers and Fire Pumps for each site. This is without doubt the largest current Gaseous Extinguishing Project in the world. · TEMSA have awarded Palmet yet another major contract for their Factory Fire Extinguishing Systems. After successfully delivering in 2007, both a water based and foam base extinguishing systems to protect TEMSA’s Paintshops, Palmet were TEMSA’S first choice to continue their good work throughout the rest of their Adana plant. Palmet completed the construction and commencing of systems in 4th quarter of 2008. And now, 200.000m2 area of the plant is secured againgst fire by Palmet guarantee. · Palmet has been awarded new Fire Protection Contracts for the OYAK-Renault factory in Bursa. This new contract awards mean that Renault and Palmet are now jointly commencing their 21st consecutive year of unbroken trading. Palmet successfully concluded an order for the Design, Installation and Commissioning of 98 sets of highly specialized Close Tolerance Air Conditioning Systems for Tubitak’s brand new Testing Laboratories. In total, there were 72 Rooms, including EMC Rooms, Standards Centre, Anechoic Chambers, Electronic Test Beds, Seismic Test Facilities and numerous Clean Rooms.
2002 Oytek Building
Palmet successfully relocated Oytek from its existing Facility to a purpose- built Centre in Istanbul, the whole move took 6 weeks from the date of order receipt and at no stage did Oytek suffer any downtime.
Palmet’s scope was to provide Full Electrical Power Systems including Transformers, Power Distribution Systems, UPS, Generators, Auto Transfer Switching, Security Access, Lighting, Earthing and features included High Security Zones, Penthouse Suites, Restaurants and Call Centres. It is considered to be one of the largest Technology Data Centres in Turkey.
